Senior Director of SEO

Summary

The Senior Director of SEO is responsible for building an organizational framework and Technical SEO engine that will work collaboratively with a cross-functional delivery team to achieve maximum visibility within the Organic Search channel for our Fortune 1000 Customer. 

The Senior Director of SEO will be a nurturing, yet decisive leader with a desire to teach, coach, guide and scale a high performing team in-house. The Senior Director of SEO reports directly to the SVP of Delivery.

• Provides vision, thought-leadership, guidance, and training for Terakeet’s SEO discipline
• Ensures our SEO team has the appropriate framework to drive towards world-class strategies that achieve our customers SEO related business goals
• Establishes the framework, process and team design necessary to scale and evolve our enterprise SEO strategy solution
• Recruits, hires, motivates, mentors, and empowers a team to effectively execute on accounts
• Develops and implement tools, processes, analytical models and reports to perform regular competitive, performance, and departmental analysis
• Supports the development of talent in-house and capabilities of people-leaders and individual contributors across the team through talent reviews, succession planning, training and development 
• Drives a culture of constant test and learn to discover new and innovative ways to deliver to world class strategies to our customers
• Leads the prioritization and execution of strategic organizational initiatives

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills

• 7+ years leading SEO strategies on behalf of enterprise level clients
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to drive innovation, business growth, and process efficiencies. 
• Confirmed ability to build, grow and retain a diverse and high performing team. 
• Strong business and financial acumen. 
• Demonstrated effective capabilities in designing and managing change, influencing others and communicating at all levels of the organization and with c-suite external stakeholders.
• Proven experience working collaboratively in a professional services environment.
• Extremely strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentations, meeting facilitation and email in both individual and group settings.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with analytical, relationship-building, communications, and decision-making skills.
