Syracuse plays host to great sports teams, and Terakeet’s sports fans enjoy Syracuse University’s national athletics programs, Mets AAA baseball and Crunch AAA hockey.
New York City and Boston are great, but living there, you can get lost. Syracuse is sample size. It’s a city with everything in close proximity – from underground music and art to great food, all within walking distance. And you feel like a significant part of the community.
That’s what I love about Syracuse. It’s where I feel most at home.
Syracuse is a hidden gem — we have great local farmers, so you can eat fresh all the time. You can go to the farmers’ market and buy local produce. You can support local breweries. You can have that urban setting in the downtown area, and then you can go 10 minutes east to hike in Green Lakes or 45 minutes to Ithaca Falls. You’re not confined to the city as you would be in bigger metro areas, and for me, that is a perfect balance.
